One of only a few hundred Audubon Global Important Bird Area’s with 8001 acres of wetlands. The Goose Pond Wetland Reserve is located two miles southwest of Linton on State Road 59 in Stafford Township. It is being restored under the Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), a division of the United States Department of Agriculture, and is currently one of the largest WRP restorations in the U. S. today. The current restoration could not be completed without the help of organizations such as Ducks Unlimited (DU), Audubon Society, and the North American Wetlands Conservation Act.
Indiana’s Historic Pathways passes through 16 counties. It comprises U.S. 50 from Vincennes to Lawrenceburg and U.S. 150, which overlaps U.S. 50 from Vincennes to Shoals and extends southeastward to the Falls of the Ohio. Portions of the old Buffalo Trace can be found on or south of federal highways connecting Vincennes and Clarksville.
Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum is where you can see some of the world’s most significant automobiles, with an emphasis on Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg Motorcars of the classic era. Auburn automobiles from 1904 to 1924 are exhibited in a setting reminiscent of an Auburn sales showroom during this period of time and where you can learn about engines and technology related to the Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg automobiles and study biographies of the company’s key engineering staff.
Conner Prairie, a large, open-air living history museum made up of four distinct historic areas, a modern museum center and over 800 acres of natural beauty. Conner Prairie's mission is to serve as a local, regional and national center for education and activities exploring the lives, times and values of the 1800s in America.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, is the largest children’s museum in the world. The more than 400,000-square-foot facility houses 11 major galleries that explore the physical and natural sciences, history, world cultures and the arts. The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indiana and Western Art, which opened in 1989, was founded by Harrison Eiteljorg. The museum showcases Western and Native American art and cultural objects. The museum's design is also inspired by the land, people, and architecture of the American Southwest.

Our Changing Galleries bring the best of the museum world to Indiana with new exhibits throughout the year. Legacy Theater also features changing exhibits, each one designed to highlight the stories of minorities in Indiana.
The Greenfield James Whitcomb Riley Birthplace and Home America's Children's Poet and the poet of the Hoosier people wherever they may be around the world. Kids of all ages have loved to see the home of Little Orphan Annie and where her pixies live under the stairs. The museum will be open for visitors this year from April 1 – November 8.
Start your journey at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Visitor Center. Watch the 15 minute orientation film and walk through the newly renovated museum. Then begin walking on the trail to see the tallest flagpole in Indiana and pause to see where Nancy Hanks Lincoln is buried. Continue to the Lincoln Living Historical Farm. It is a re-created pioneer homestead with a cabin, outbuildings, split rail fences, farm animals, vegetable and herb gardens and field crops. Rangers in period clothing perform a variety of activities typical of the 1820 era.
Studebaker National Museum’s priceless collection of wagons, vehicles and artifacts spans 150 years of local industrial history. Its new home is a state-of-the-art museum reflecting the design traditions of Studebaker buildings from the 1920s and 1930s. Through Studebaker’s exhibitions, visitors can trace the area’s industrial past from the 1800s to the present and learn about the Studebaker family, the great South Bend/Mishawaka industrial giants, Studebaker’s critical role in the country’s war efforts and more.

The home of Ben-Hur, located in the private study of Major General Lee Wallace, author of Ben-Hur, the museum contains items collected by Wallace during his life as an author, soldier, statesman, artist, violinist, and inventor. Wallace often wrote his literary works on the grounds of the study. There are ponds with fountains, amazingly created pavilions, and annual additions to keep Cathedral Gardens eternally growing in splendor.
Travel back to when Southern Indiana was covered by a salt water sea as you discover the world-renown fossil beds that date back 400 million years. There are 220 acres of exposed Devonian fossil beds to explore. The Interpretive Center features a full size mammoth skeleton, plus there are exhibits on geology, history and cultural development of the Falls of the Ohio. A spectacular audiovisual show is also offered.
Step back in time to the Great Steamboat Era with a tour of the Howard Steamboat Museum. This beautiful 1894 22 room, late Victorian, built by premier steamboat builders, the Howards of Jeffersonville, features original furnishings, brass chandeliers, leaded stained glass windows, and intricate carvings throughout and even a grand staircase!. Artifacts & models of famous boats built in the Howard Shipyards are exhibited.

You will ride aboard historic pieces of rail equipment on a 2 hour, 20 mile round trip, which will take you through portions of the scenic Hoosier National Forest, the 2200 foot Burton Tunnel, and past impressive limestone cuts.

The Indiana Military Museum is dedicated to fostering the memory, understanding and appreciation of U.S. military history. The museum has one of the most outstanding displays of vintage vehicles, weaponry, uniforms and artifacts from the Civil War through WWI, II, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm. The IMM includes both outdoor displays featuring tanks, artillery, and aircraft and an indoor museum with uniforms, flags, battlefield relics, captured enemy souvenirs, and WWII toys, homefront items and vehicles.
