Relax on the sandy beaches of Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. For more outdoor fun, visit Angola's 50 year old Fun Spot Amusement Park. A short drive north, Pokagon State Park has hiking, horseback riding, and lake fun in the summer; from November through February, zoom down the refrigerated toboggan slide. In LaGrange, you can visit the radio museum or play a round of golf at Heron Creek.

South Bend offers a wide variety of activities from Notre Dame Football and the Football Hall of Fame to a chocolate lover's dream - the South Bend Chocolate Company's Chocolate Museum where you can sample sweet treats. For the adventurous, the East Race Waterway, South Bend's artificial whitewater course, is designed with runs for both beginners and advanced whitewater challengers.
